Response summary

Can you provide the reasoning behind your response to the previous questions?
  • Traffic issues
  • The hostel seems like a great idea
  • The hostel is a great idea and prvides affordable accomodatiom
  • Good for overnight stays when visiting london theatres
  • My main concern regarding the period of works is noise and other nuisance. While my preference would be for no work, a shorter timeline is obviously preferable.
As part of our application, we are developing an Operational Management Plan for the pod hostel to ensure effective management with minimal impact on neighbours. Is there anything specific you would like us to consider or address in this plan to accommodate any concerns you may have?
  • Policies on alcohol, parties and noise
  • What happens to existing businesses
  • My primary concern is related to noise and other nuisance, particularly at night. I live on the corner of Garrick Street and would like to understand the scale of the proposal and what can be done to minimise disruption by your hostel guests and deliveries. On the point of deliveries, it would be helpful to understand the times during which any deliveries/collections are made so as not to cause disruption in the night.
Is there anything else you think the project team should consider when developing proposals for 5-9 Great Newport Street?
  • The proposals overall look good, but please consider the noise and other impacts on neighbours, both during the construction phase and once the hostel, refurbished theatre, etc., are open.
